Amit Shah gives Statement
Amit Shah, the Union home minister, declared on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will remain in office after the Lok Sabha elections and finish his term. He brushed off Arvind Kejriwal’s claim that Modi will retire from politics next year when he reaches 75 years old.
The BJP’s senior leader also mentioned that the Opposition shouldn’t celebrate when Modi reaches the age of 75.
Hey, I just want to say something to Arvind Kejriwal, the INDI Alliance, and everyone else out there. You don’t need to celebrate when Modi turns 75 because he’s not going anywhere. Modi is going to serve his full term and keep leading the country until 2029. The BJP is crystal clear about this, so there’s no room for confusion.
The home minister made his comments a few hours after Kejriwal, who was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court in the excise policy case on Friday, stated that Modi was campaigning for Shah because he himself would be retiring from politics next year.
The folks from the BJP are constantly questioning the INDIA bloc about our Prime Minister’s face. But here’s my question to the BJP: who will be their Prime Minister? Modi ji is going to turn 75 next year, and he himself made the rule that people aged 75 should retire. So, it’s clear that he will retire next year. Interestingly, he is now seeking votes to make Amit Shah the Prime Minister. The big question is, will Shah fulfill Modi ji’s guarantee?
Rajnath Singh, the defence minister, didn’t hold back in criticizing Kejriwal for his comments. He pointed out that the opposition and its members were clearly shaken by the fact that they were on the verge of losing in the current Lok Sabha elections.
“The entire NDA alliance, including the BJP, is fighting this Lok Sabha election under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he will become the prime minister for the third time and complete his term.
Shah mentioned during his speech in Hyderabad that the BJP is expected to become the largest party in southern India. He confidently stated that on the day of the election results, the BJP will be the leading party in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala.
